Hello everyone!
It is the third month of the year and life seems to be picking up once again. Enforcing Covid protocols has ensured our safety during the pandemic. Continue sanitizing, washing your hands, wearing your masks and social distancing, and the battle against Covid will be victorious.
Talking about victories, 2021 has begun with a couple. The renovation at Ilasan Nursery & Primary school has finally been completed. This project was done in collaboration with Little Drops Funds who ensured a complete revamp of the classrooms – the ceilings, roofs, walls & floors were redone. Education is more than just its content; it’s comfort as well. It has been proven that being in a comfortable setting improves learning. This warranted the revamp of both classes but it didn’t end there. With the help of Meadow Hall College students and parents, the revamp took a whole new turn. Furniture such as shoe racks, bookshelves, tables and chairs, with toys, instructional materials, educative sleeping mats and much more were purchased for both nursery classrooms at Ilasan. There is no greater joy than seeing the smile on a child’s face. This was a project long overdue. It began a year ago but Covid, along with the Government’s safety measures during this pandemic halted its process.
