The third edition of our Education Convention themed “Accelerating National Development Through Education” held in Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos this year. Through the convention, Meadow Hall Foundation provides a platform for teachers, school leaders, school owners, parents, community members and leaders as well as government and policy-makers to gain fresh perspectives on pertinent educational issues from their interactions with Nigerian teachers and educational experts. The one-day event comprised of two panel discussions, a key note address and professional development training sessions.

The sophomore edition of the Education Convention, which held on Saturday, 20th April 2018 at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria was an international event that drew over 500 attendees from various states in Nigeria (Lagos, Ogun, Abuja, Delta, Cross River etc.) as well as from Cameroon. It was a 1-day event themed- “Addressing the Quality Question in the Education Sector” and was aimed at providing an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss pertinent educational issues. The event comprised of two panel discussions- a keynote address and professional development training sessions.

The first ever edition of the Education Convention held in April 2017, over the course of two days. The theme of the convention was “Transforming our Society through Education,” with the Keynote Speakers: Dr. Oby Ezekwesili (Former Minister of Education) & Mr. Fela Durotoye (CEO Gemstone Group) in attendance. The first day of the convention held on Thursday, 20th April 2017 from 8:00 am – 4.00pm at City Hall, Lagos Island, which had the Education Conference that included education seminars, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Day 2 involved a Mentor-Mentee Event at Meadow Hall on the 21st of April 2017, where Meadow Hall’s Educational Leadership Team brought their experience to bear in impacting other educators’ practices through this segment of the mentoring programme. A Few of the topics the educators were mentored in include instructional, social & emotional intelligence, as well as financial literacy etc.
