XOP15935PM-e1427764937823-1024x994-1024x994Mrs. Kehinde Nwani founded Meadow Hall in 2002. She obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and was called to the Nigerian Bar over 25 years ago. She practiced law for about 14 years before finally deciding to pursue her lifelong passion of setting up an educational institution.

To adequately equip her for this, she obtained a Montessori diploma, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (International) PGCEi and subsequently a Masters degree in Education from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.

What began as Meadow Hall Infant and Junior school in 2002 has since grown into an Educational group which consists of the Infant and Junior schools on two sites (Lekki and Ikoyi) and a College in Lekki, with a total population of about 1,100 students.

The Group also includes Meadow Hall Consult Limited, a consulting arm set up to provide customized training and consultancy solutions to the education sector. Spring Meadow Limited, an edutainment company focused on helping children discover and maximize their creativity. Meadow Hall Branchise Limited, a franchising company that engages in selling Meadow Hall Franchises such as the Music academy, Language School, STEM CENTRE e.t.c. Meadow Hall Foundation, a Non-profit making Organization focused on CSR projects and other charitable initiatives.

A social entrepreneur, Kehinde has broken new grounds in the area of education as a result of her strong passion for improving the standard and quality of education in Nigeria. The Consult created as a result of her vision has supervised the training of over 3,400 education stakeholders consisting of teachers, school heads, administrators and school owners. She serves as an education consultant to many institutions.

Mrs Nwani has been widely recognized for her educational pursuits, achievements and notable contributions to the growth of education in Nigeria. Consequently, she has received such awards as ‘The Christian Business Woman of the Year’ by the Wise Women Awards in 2013, ‘The Fellow for the Order of Sustainable Education’ by the Faculty of Education, Obafemi Awolowo University in 2012, ‘Entrepreneur of Our Time’ by Junior Achievement Nigeria in 2008 amongst others.

She is very passionate about Teacher Professional Development (TPD), as she believes it is the link between educational reform policies and the actualization of the reforms. She is a renowned trainer on; Teacher Professional Development, Personal Effectiveness, School Improvement, Effective Human Resource in Whole School Strategy, 21st Century Learning amongst others.

A life-long learner, Mrs Nwani has attended several trainings including Modern Strategies for Effective Education, The International Leadership Training by the Leadership Institute, VA, USA, Best Practice in School Management by Accelerated Learning Systems Ltd in London and Values and Teaching Effectiveness by the University of Asia and Pacific.

[accordion title=’Ola Opesan’]Ola-OpesanMr Opesan’s passion for education stems from his natural curiosity and his insatiable appetite for learning. He trained as a secondary school Maths teacher (PGCE) after a first degree in Business Studies (Marketing) and a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester. Having worked several jobs before joining the teaching profession, Mr Opesan took on departmental responsibility within his first year of teaching. Soon after changing his school he became the Head of Maths. Later in the same school, George Mitchell, London E11, he gained whole school responsibility as an Assistant Head teacher in charge of Assessment and Reporting. In 2007, Mr Opesan relocated to Lagos as the founding Principal of Meadow Hall College. During his first stint at Meadow Hall, in addition to his College role, the progress of Infant School and Junior School students fell within his ambit when he was designated Education Director of Meadow Hall. Mr Opesan is a highly sought-after trainer in the field of education. He has worked with many educational consultancies, such as Meadow Hall Consult, School Run and BEC (British Education Consultants). He has been privileged to facilitate seminars in renowned institutions such as the University of Lagos, Cambridge University, England, Abuja, Warri and Port Harcourt. Prior to returning to full-time work at Meadow Hall as the Head of School, with an oversight of the Lekki site and the new site in Ikoyi, Mr Opesan spent two years working with James Hope College, Agbor and the AISEN (Association of International School Educators of Nigeria) Head Office. Mr Opesan is a keen sportsman, and a published author who is blessed with two wonderful children currently at university.[/accordion]

[accordion title=’Yinka Obafisoye’]obafisoyeOlayinka Obafisoye is an accomplished education practitioner with well over 15 years of teaching and leading experience. Her career is born out of a passion to be an effective instrument of positive change in the education sector. She is driven by the firm belief that “Every Child Matters” and as such make progress, irrespective of their ability. A British citizen, she spent most of her 10 years in England in a Roman Catholic Junior School in the London borough of Havering, where she taught as a class teacher, and also as the Literacy Coordinator. She later on pioneered the position of English as an Additional Language {EAL} Coordinator until the time of her exit in December 2013. Her excellent classroom practices have earned her being referred to as “outstanding” by her previous Headteacher, Mrs Clare D’Netto. She obtained like assessment when observed by OFSTED officials in England. Olayinka was the first Instructor / franchisee in the East London area of Stratford for Kumon -the largest educational body of its kind in the UK. She is proud of her Meadow Hall ‘heritage’ as she was the first Year 4 teacher in the history of the school, eleven years ago. A graduate of the University of Ibadan {B Ed.}. Olayinka holds a Post Graduate Degree from Middlesex University, London and her Qualified Teacher Status {QTS} from the National College of Teaching and Leadership, England.

She also holds a Masters degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, She is happily married with two boys.[/accordion]

[accordion title=’Senami Olubunmi Adepoju’]adepoju (1)Mrs. Senami Olubunmi Adepoju is a passionate educationist. After graduating from the University of Ife some thirty years ago with a B.A.(Hons) in English Studies, she took a Master’s degree in Labour and Industrial Relations from the University of Ibadan, 1990. She obtained a professional certificate from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (London) 1997. Her PGDE was done at the University of Lagos, 1997.

Her teaching career started in 1985 in St Louis Secondary School, Mokola, Ibadan. In 1993, she moved to Lagos and joined Atlantic Hall. There, she spent twenty fruitful years and rose through the ranks. She was the Head of Junior School between 2000 and 2005; Director of Studies, 2006 to 2011 and Director; Examinations and Admissions, 2011 to 2013.

She is married with four children.She really enjoys reading and learning new things. She is self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking. She believes in team work and motivating teams to work hard. She also believes that every individual is worthy of respect, no matter who they are and encourages mutual respect.

Mrs. Adepoju is comfortable around teenagers and enjoys helping them cope with emotional and physical changes. She believes that education should be fun. All children should look forward to coming to school, so school time should be full memories that will last a life time.

ekpeyongA passionate teacher and seasoned educationist with over fifteen years experience in the teaching profession, Rita Ekpenyong is a strong believer in the ability of every child to succeed and an ardent advocate of the need for teachers to act as agents of change in their world. As head of the Junior Section of Meadow Hall, she has positively influenced the growth and development of the school.

Rita started off her career in the media world before moving on to education. She is particularly concerned about the need for excellent subject delivery by teachers and the importance of applying creative methods in achieving teaching aims and objectives. To this end she has facilitated at different seminars on Creative Writing, Lesson Planning/Delivery and Transitional Examinations amongst others.

She is currently running a post graduate management course at Albion College, UK and has attended a number of professional development courses on teaching and leadership both in the U.K. and U.S.A.

[accordion title=’Ayo Oluyemi’]

oluyemiAyo Oluyemi is a seasoned educationist with special interest in Early Years education. She has over 15 years experience working with children in the college, primary and nursery stages of education. She has spent the greater number of her working years in the nursery, with a bias for children with learning disabilities.

She holds a B.Ed in Guidance and Counselling and has attended courses on various fields of early years education in both Nigeria and the UK.

She has a strong passion for making positive deposits in the lives of people and also volunteers in nation building works. She writes in her spare time and enjoys African poetry.

[accordion title=’Bidemi Oyedepo’]

Bidemi-Oyedepo- (1)A profile teacher, trainer and leader in Education and Pastoral Care, she graduated with a B.Sc honours degree as the best female graduating student from the Department of Botany of the University of Ibadan, in 1995. She also had a Distinction in her executive (postgraduate) diploma from Obafemi Awolowo University with further post graduate studies and qualification from Nottingham University, UK. She has well over a decade and a half cognate working experience that has exposed her to training professionals across several sectors of the economy and has attended several continuous professional development courses in the UK on Literacy, Curriculum, etc.

She is a notable member of Meadow Hall Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

[accordion title=’Joy Oguchi’]

oguchi (1)Mrs. Joy Oguchi is the Administrator of Meadow Hall College. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Business Administration from California Coast University (USA) and a Masters Degree in Education Administration; with emphasis on school leadership from Grand Canyon University (USA). She also obtained a certification in Professional Human Resource Development from the Institute of Human Resource Education, Rice University (USA) and a Diploma in counseling Children and Adolescents from Stonebridge Associated Colleges (UK) among other professional development programmes.

She is a seasoned administrator and a passionate counsellor for children and adolescents. She joined Meadow Hall in 2006 and has functioned in the capacity of Admissions Officer, Human Resource Manager, Head of QAC (College) and Administrator (College).

Mrs. Oguchi has continued to motivate and mentor young people. She is a training facilitator for Meadow Hall Consult, a fellow of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and a certified Career Direct Consultant. She is married with three children.

She enjoys mentoring, swimming and photography. She believes that “We make a living by what we get; we make life by what we give”

[accordion title=’Yinka Okungbowa’]

Mrs-Okungbowa-2Mrs Yinka Okungbowa is an experienced and astute administrator with over 8 years experience in the education sector and an academic background in Business and Finance from the UK.

Her business acumen and organisational skills ensure the prudent, effective and efficient day-to-day running of the school. She has a passion for seeing children develop to their full potential and to that end, continually encourages and facilitates their learning.

Mrs Okungbowa also keenly encourages the continuous professional development of staff and her natural style embraces coaching and mentoring each member on her team. She has been involved with a number of charity initiatives such as community school development programmes, Partners NGO, who mainly provided boreholes in communities in Ogun State, International Women’s Organisation for Charity “IWOC” who support Nigerian charities with an annual event called “Small World”.

Mrs Okungbowa has three teen-aged children of her own and has a passion for family, world foods and baking.

moni-iluyomadeMHMoni Iluyomade is the Internal Auditor in Meadow Hall. She is an experienced Management Accountant, with over 10 years experience in business and financial management. She has demonstrated strong skills in creating value, maximising growth and improving business performances of organisations across sectors, spanning the United Kingdom and Nigeria. She is passionate about continuous improvement in the School and has a strong ability to manage the business variables to the advantage of the School. Her focus is on Management, Strategy, Structure and Change Management in order to maintain sustainable business solutions.

In 1997, she started her journey towards becoming a seasoned Financial and Management Accountant; she graduated from the University of Lagos in 2002 with B.A English (second class upper). In 2005, she became an Associate Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Charted Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). Furthermore in 2009, she became a Certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Management, United Kingdom (CIM). In 2010, she obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Liverpool John Moore University in the United Kingdom. She is recently a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant, United Kingdom (CIMA). In addition, she has attended several trainings in Business and school management. Also, she has worked as a Management Accountant across sectors from Telecommunication, Consultancy firm, Manufacturing, Health Maintenance Organisation, Public Sector organisation, Training and Development, Information Technology to the Financial Services.

She is passionate about her role in Meadow Hall but the most important job of all for her is being a mother to her four adorable children. She is married and loves spending time with her family, and at her spare time she enjoys singing, reading books and writing short stories.
